Today, we attended a Business Link event in Nottingham where we got to hear Sir Alan Sugar talk and answer questions on a variety of topics. We all enjoyed the event, and we’ve already identified some new ideas and techniques to try.

We’ve been working for some time with the Cheshire NHS ICT Service on its Governance Board Performance Report, and all our hard work came to fruition today when the report was launched! It centres on a wheel format that helps to quickly and easily show the overall performance of the shared service.

Our Managing Director, Andy Smith, attended the Microsoft Partner Network Event at Wembley Stadium today. At the event, Andy heard Microsoft’s senior executives outline their product strategy, and saw demonstrations of new software such as Windows 7.

We’ve taken out a corporate membership of Mickleover Golf Club in Derby; we intend to use our membership to host clients and we’re looking forward to hosting the company’s first golfing event in 2010.
World Cup crazy

Our Managing Director, Andy Smith has been involved in Derby’s bid to be a World Cup Host City in 2018; today he joined city and business leaders and representatives from the FA at the Roundhouse to promote Derby’s bid.
Promoting timely delivery

Cheshire NHS ICT Service today went live with a timesheet solution that we selected, implemented and launched for them. The early feedback is that the launch was well received.
Founding Cheshire Technology Working Together

We’re working with Cheshire East Council and Cheshire NHS ICT Service to develop an exciting new programme to promote collaboration between public sector organisations in Cheshire.
Surveys made easy

We’ve developed our own survey software to complement our survey management service. The software is web-based and provides real-time graphs and management functionality to monitor responses. It’s sensibly priced and is available standalone or as part of a managed service from inception to detailed analysis and reporting.

Our customer service training has been getting excellent feedback from attendees and senior managers alike. Robert Ashley, our Customer Relationship Consultant has been delivering the training and has been overwhelmed by the positive response he’s received.

We’ve have secured an extension to our existing business consultancy arrangement with the Cheshire ICT Service. We’ve provided this NHS organisation with a range of organisational development advice and support since 2007.
Giving a helping hand with some work experience

We’re currently helping out a young network engineer by giving him some valuable hands-on work experience alongside our experienced consultants. Hopefully the experience will be a nice addition to his CV and help him establish a career in his chosen field.

Business Intelligence consultant Paul Couchman has joined us to provide consultancy to our clients; he’ll be hitting the ground running when he starts, with a consultation to establish a management reporting scorecard and data infrastructure for one of our major clients.

We’re proud to announce that we’ve successfully sourced an Interim Technical Services Manager for one of our major clients. We were asked to help with this recruitment because of our in- knowledge of NHS ICT services, and because of our connections in the IT industry.

Vanessa Stalley joined us today as Sales and Admin Manager. She’s come to us from the Department of Work and Pensions and brings with her a great skill base and a wealth of public sector experience. Vanessa’s appointment represents another key stage in our growth.
New offices signal expansion

We moved into new offices at the iD Centre in Derby today, following significant expansion in the first three months of 2008. Our new offices can accommodate six consultants at any one time and provide a centrally located, shared base for our team.
